WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (August 22, 2013) — West Springfield copywriter Christine Parizo, principal of Christine Parizo Communications, has teamed up with Springfield-based DIF Design, the Creative Strategy Agency, Hadley Printing and viz-bang! to offer an Extreme Website Makeover to one lucky small business in the Pioneer Valley.

A well-designed website, complete with grammatically correct, snappy copy, doesn’t come cheap. Many small businesses in the Pioneer Valley don’t have the budget for a better website, costing them untold amounts in opportunity. Conceived by Peter Ellis, president of DIF Design, the Extreme Website Makeover will grant one winner $25,000 worth of web design and marketing services, including web design, copywriting, social media, video and printing.

“The idea is to provide one business with a full marketing package, from a website to videography and social media strategy,” Ellis said. “I chose the best creative minds in the area to bring a competitive advantage to a local business that needs help with their online and offline visibility.”

Any business or nonprofit can be nominated, as long as it’s located in the Greater Springfield region and has fewer than 15 employees, and their website is either nonexistent or hasn’t been updated in the past two years. A panel of judges will determine the winner, and the winner will be announced November 6, 2013 at the Western Mass Business Expo.

“I see so many local businesses with potential. I know they’re great, but their website copy says otherwise,” Parizo said. “I was honored that Peter asked me to team up for the Extreme Website Makeover, because I know that one great company will finally have the tools they need to attract its ideal customers.”

An independent panel of judges that work in a variety of creative and business fields will begin choosing a winner after nominations close on Sept. 23. Businesses can be nominated atwww.springfieldmakeover.com.
